FeMANism
Masculinity Over Motherhood
Is a girl still allowed to grow up wanting to have children and a family of her own or is she expected to become the next superhero capable of roundly defeating evil men much bigger than herself (while still looking sexy)?
Hollywood’s latest craze is to do away with male heroes and replace them with women. Ask Indiana Jones. Where in any form of entertainment is a mother loving and caring for her children? This vital role in the continuation of civilization is being presented as outdated. That’s an historic role from the dark ages when men were seen as providers and mothers as caregivers. Like belief in God, belief in motherhood is to be shunned.
But, the promoters of this new feMANist age have a major problem. Motherhood is one of the most fulfilling things a woman can experience in life. It leads to grandchildren, Thanksgiving and Christmas. It makes vacations into lasting memories. It fills Facebook pages — to the delight of grandparents.
The woman who misses out on motherhood in pursuit of feMANism winds up in a nursing home with no visitors. In a rare exception Helen in the Incredibles manages to be a mother, but she still managed to get the lead role fighting the villains in The Incredibles2.
In the two Paddington movies Mary does get to play a significant role in the adventure while being a caring mother. This is so rare.
FeMANism is a disaster. Far too many single mothers now play the mother and father role in their children’s lives, while some man devolves into dereliction. He’s reduced to providing sperm. In the age of feMANism men become wimps, pimps and drug dealers.
The world is hungry for entertainment that presents male and female as God intended. This does NOT relegate women to second place. Children NEED both providers and caregivers. Audiences NEED some stories where these roles are presented as being of equal value. We need programs where a mother is presented as be heroic for being a good mother.
The movie The Blind Side did far better at the box office than expected because Sandra Bullock modeled motherly love even for an adopted son. Her compassion brought audiences to tears.
Very costly feMANism movies are beginning to do poorly at the box office. Bud Light is suffering from a horrific boycott, because the brand sought to promote the most extreme form of feMANism — a man abandoning manhood to present himself as a girl to children. Is the only hope left for men to declare themselves female? Will Disney hire Dylan Mulvaney to play Snow White? It would not only be a box office bomb but it might empty Disney’s theme parks as well.
Bring back motherhood. Celebrate it. Honor it. Honor it even more in a marriage where a father get to actually be a man. If Disney would like to see its stock triple in price and its parks full, honor mothers and fathers, honor marriage. Someone will. If it is not Disney, Disney will die.
